
Ministries
Times of Worship are important. They brings us together, helps us set aside a time out of our busy lives and help us to focusing on God. The Worship and Music ministry works closely with the church staff to provide a variety of opportunities for meaningful worship experiences at Trinity, providing both substantive feedback and brainstorming and practical support for Trinity’s worship services and music programs.
Here are some of ways you can support this ministry.
- Join us for our monthly meetings usually on the 4th Sunday afternoon of each month, to provide feedback on recent services and share your ideas
- Sing or play an instrument with the Church’s musical groups — regularly or on an occasional basis
- Sign up to Greet and Usher at either service — regularly, or on occasional Sunday
- Sign up to serve as a Liturgist at the 11:15 traditional service
- Stick around to help put away the chairs and carpets after the contemporary service at 9am
- Sign up to run the Worship Slides at either service, approximately once per month
Education and Nurture Ministry
The Presbyterian Church has a strong tradition of the importance of education, and Trinity follows in this tradition of lifelong learning. The Education and Nurture Ministry plans educational opportunities for people of all ages at Trinity, with programs for children, youth and adults.
Here are some of the ways you can support this Ministry:
- Join the Ministry Committee
- Be part of a children’s Sunday School teaching team
- Help plan intergenerational education opportunities
- Teach/facilitate an adult Sunday School class or discussion group
- Volunteer with our youth program
- Help organize VBS
- Share your ideas
Mission and Service
The Mission and Service Ministry plans for the local and global mission of the church. MSM has oversight of mission dollars going out of the church, youth and intergenerational mission trips, special speakers and forums on mission-related topics, and yearly local projects such as the Crop Walk, Rebuilding Together, Barrett School coat drive, and outreach to local day laborers.

Outreach Ministry
How do we let others know about Trinity and then help them find their way into our community? The Outreach Ministry’s task is to answer that question. Using events and classes, mailings, signs and banners, social media, and our web page, the Outreach Ministry lets people know that they are welcome to Trinity.
Here are some ways to support this ministry.

- Welcome visitors at various events.
Facilities Management Ministry
Trinity’s buildings are the launch pad for our ministries to the community and the larger world. Properly maintained and managed, they provide an environment that enables us to practice our faith in comfort and safety. The Facilities Management Ministry works with Mike Swineford, our church manager, to oversee numerous contractors who perform ongoing maintenance and renters who provide an important source of revenue. The Ministry also plans and supervises long-term upgrades and renovations to the buildings and grounds (such as the recent renovation of Calvin Hall) in coordination with other ministries.

Pastoral Care Ministry
The job of looking after our community isn’t just up to the Pastor, this is a responsibility that we all share. The Pastoral Care ministry offer’s assistance, love and support to all the members and friends of Trinity.
Here are some ways you can support this ministry.
- Join the Ministry committee
- Lotsa helping hands
- Sign cards
- Deliver Easter lilies to shut-in members.
- Deliver cookies at Christmas.
- Provide food and care at memorial services.
- Send cards and notes to those on our prayer list.
A church is a community but you can’t be a community if you don’t spend time together, so the Fellowship ministry gets the fun job of creating events and groups to bring people together. Connecting them to each other and to God. It also makes sure that Trinity is fully stocked in case an impromptu party breaks out.
Here are some ways to support this ministry.

- Help set up or clean up an event.
- Help keep the church stocked.
- Share your party ideas.
Administration Ministry
There is a lot to keep track of in a church the size of Trinity and this ministry does it well. Keeping Trinity’s databases updated, keeps the church connected. Making sure the insurance coverage is correct, helps us sleep better at night and keeping an eye on the staff is just sound logic.
Here are some ways to support this ministry.

- Join the Risk management team.
Finance Ministry
Trinity wants to be sensible and intentional with the money that people give us and that is why we have a finance ministry, to keep track of what people have pledged, what we have spent and what we might or might not need. Ultimately, the Session makes the financial decisions but they do so with the information given to them by the Finance ministry.
